Cut To The Chase Anthology Volume 1 notes


Formed by Manley and Mike Lummio, CTTC combines strong songwriting, great playing, and lyrics with depth. Born from the embers of the Chicago-based fusion band, The Balance, Cut To The Chase features the amazing fretted and fretless bass work of Manley, and the soaring guitars of Mike Lummio. Think an American version of Level 42, or a Brit-funk version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers-- with a heavier emphasis on lyrics, and fretless bass.


This anthology includes studio, rehearsal, demo, and live tracks featuring different line-ups and incarnations of the band, including never-before-released material. Although originating in Chicago, the pop-funk duo relocated shortly after forming to Arizona. Basing out of Mesa, the band brought in new musicians, each adding an iingredient to keep things evolving and interesting.
